The Central Government recently addressed a long-standing matter concerning the state allocation of an officer, Shri Jagmohan Prasad Verma, a District Entertainment Tax Officer. This significant decision was made after careful consideration, following a directive from the Lucknow Bench of the Honorable High Court in response to Writ Petition No. 4417/05. A crucial meeting of the Uttar Pradesh State Advisory Committee, held on May 8, 2008, also played a pivotal role in reviewing Shri Verma’s thoroughly considered application for reallocation.
After extensive deliberation, the Central Government concluded that Shri Verma’s final allocation would not be to the state of Uttar Pradesh. This decision firmly upholds the original allocation guidelines that were in effect at the time of his cadre assignment, which had placed him in Uttarakhand. Consequently, Shri Verma’s appeal for a change in his state allocation has been rejected. This outcome underscores the importance of adhering to established policies and guidelines in administrative appointments and transfers, ensuring fairness and consistency across the board.

महोदय,
माननीय उच्च न्यायालय, लखनऊ पीठ में दाखित याचिका संख्या 4417/05 में पारित आदेश के अनुपालन में राज्य परामर्शदात्री समिति, उत्तर प्रदेश की 8 मई, 2008 को आयोजित बैठक में श्री जगमोहन प्रसाद वर्मा, जिला मनोरंजन कर अधिकारी के सुविचारित और अनुशंसित अभ्यावेदन पर साक्यानी पूर्वक विचार किए जाने के बाद कॅन्द्र सरकार ने श्री वर्मा के संबंध में अंतिम आबंटन उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य में न करने का निर्णय लिया है क्यों कि श्री जगमोहन प्रसाद वर्मा को उत्तराखंड राज्य आबंटन उनकें संवर्ग के आबंटन के समय लागू दिशा-निर्देश के अंतर्गत ही किया गया था । अतः श्री वर्मा के अभ्यावेदन को निरस्त किया जाता है ।
2 अधिकारी को उपरोक्त निर्णय से अवगत करा दिया जाए ।
