This notification specifies July 17, 1995, as the date from which provisions of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, will apply to the Sports Authority of India. It amends a previous notification from May 2, 1986, and updates the list of government-controlled societies. The notification also includes details of previous amendments made in 1986 and 1987.

सा. का.नि. 542(थ).—केन्द्रीय सरकार, प्रशासनिक अधिकरण अधिनियम, 1985 (1985 का 13) की धारा 14 की उपधारा (2) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए 1995 के जुलाई माह की 17 तारीख को उस तारीख के रूप में विनिर्दिष्ट करती है, जिस तारीख से उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 14 की उपधारा (3) के उपबंध भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण की, जो केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा नियंत्रित एक सीसायटी है, लागू होंगे तथा भारत सरकार के कामिक, लोक शिकायत और पेंशन मंत्रालय (कामिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग) की अधिसूचना सं. सा. का. नि. 730(थ) तारीख 2 मई, 1986 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है, अर्थात् :-
उक्त अधिसूचना की अनुसूची में क्रम सं. 8 और उसमे संबंधित प्रविष्टियों के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित क्रम संरूयांक और प्रविष्टियां जोड़ी जाएंगी अर्थात् :-

MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (Department of Personnel and Training) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 11th July, 1995 G.S.R. 542 (E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (13 of 1985), the Central Government hereby specifies the 17th day of July, 1995, as the date on and from which the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 14 of the said Act shall apply to the Sports Authority of India, being a society controlled by the Central Government and makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training) number G.S.R. 730 (E), dated the 2nd May, 1986, namely:-
In the schedule to the said notification, after serial number 8 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be added, namely:—
