This notification details amendments to the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964. Specifically, it revises the regulations concerning financial dealings for government servants. The amended rules restrict government employees from borrowing, lending, or depositing money with individuals or firms with whom they have official dealings or within their jurisdiction. Exceptions are made for temporary loans to relatives or friends, credit accounts with legitimate businesses, and advances to private employees, provided prior sanction is obtained where necessary. The notification also outlines procedures for reporting potential conflicts of interest when an employee is transferred to a post that might create such a conflict.
