This notification announces amendments to the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964. The key change involves revising the threshold for reporting movable property transactions by government servants. Previously, reporting was required for transactions exceeding Rs. 10,000 or one-sixth of annual emoluments; now, it’s based on exceeding two months’ basic pay. Additionally, the rules emphasize obtaining prior sanction from the prescribed authority for transactions involving individuals with official dealings with the government servant. The notification also lists previous amendments to these rules dating back to 1964.
