The Central Civil Services (Conduct) Amendment Rules, 2003, have been notified, bringing changes to existing conduct rules for government servants. These amendments, effective from their publication in the Official Gazette, primarily adjust the financial limits and allowances related to certain posts. Specifically, rule 13 has been amended to redefine the monetary amounts applicable to government servants holding Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, and ‘D’ posts. Additionally, rule 18’s sub-rule (3) has been updated to reflect revised figures for letters and figures concerning allowances, changing the previous limits of Rs. 15,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- to “twenty thousand rupees” and “fifteen thousand rupees” respectively. These changes aim to update financial provisions within the service conduct framework.
