This document details amendments to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965. Specifically, it modifies designations within the Central Public Works Department, replacing ‘Chief Engineer’ with ‘Engineer-in-Chief’ and ‘Additional Chief Engineer (Vigilance)’ with ‘Chief Engineer (Vigilance)’ wherever these terms appear in the relevant schedules. These changes are enacted under the authority of Article 309 of the Constitution and rule 33 of the existing Central Civil Services Rules and will take effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
