(2) कम सं० 1 (ख) (XII) और उससे संबंधित प्रबिध्दियों के वरबान कमस: निम्नलिखित कम सं० और प्रबिध्टियां रखी जाएंगी, अर्थात् :- “(XIII) महानिदेशक, धनुसंधान और विकास संगठन

विकास संगठन
(3) कम सं० 2-(ख) के भ्रनर्गत कम सं० (1) और उससे संबंधित प्रबिध्दियों के स्थान पर कमस: निम्नलिखित कम सं० और प्रबिध्टियां रखी जाएंगी, अर्थात् :–

” (1) जवरल स्टाफ शाखा

New Delhi, the 21 March, 1973
S. O. 929-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 , and clause (5) of article 148 , of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Classificatoin, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, namely:-

  1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 1973.
    (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
  2. In the schedule to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1965, in part V, the following amendments shall be made:-
    (1) against Serial No. 1(b)(i), in column 2, for the words ‘Generals’ Staff Branch’ the words ‘General Staff Branch’ shall be substituted;
    (2) after Serial No. 1(B) (xii) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial No. and entries shall respectively be substituted; namely:-
    (xiii) Director General Research
    President
    Director General Research (i) to (iv)” and Development

(3) under Serial No 2-B, for Serial No. (i) and the entries relating thereto, the following Serial Number and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:-
“(i) General Staff Branch
(a) Armouned Corps, Territorial Deputy Chief of the Army Staff. Deputy Chief of the Army All Army and Defence Security Staff.
(b) Military Intelligence Directorate Director of Military Intelli- Director of Military Intelli- gence
(c) Staff Duties Directorate i.e. Director of Staff Duties Director of Staff Duties All posts in Headquarter formation and Station Staff Offices man- and Station Staff Offices man- ned by civilians who are not borne on the strength of any Arm/Service/Corps.
(d) Military Training Directorate
(e) Artillery Directorate
(f) Signals Directorate

(1) Director of Military Training (in lower formations commanded by officers of the rank of Brigadier and Below)
(2) Commandants (Major General) of Defence Services Staff, College, National De- (Major General) of Defence Ser- vices Staff College, National Defence Academy, Indian Mill- Military Academy and Infan- Military Academy and Infantry School
Director of Artillery
Signal Officer-in-Chief

All
(1) Director of Military Training (in lower formations commanded by officers of the rank of Brigadier and Below)
