Subject: CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge – 2020

The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board (CCSCSB) is organizing CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge. The event will be held Online on Facebook Group – CCSCSB ONLINE CARROM CHALLENGE – 2020. Participants are required to join this group for live playing. Details of the event are as under:-

  1. A copy of the rules for the event is attached.
  2. The States/UTs and Regional Sports Boards are requested to consider sending names of the participants for the above CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020. The entries may be sent in the prescribed Proforma (attached as annexure) to CCSCSB on or before 5th August, 2020. Please ensure that entries are submitted within the prescribed time limit through email only on ccscsbcarrom@gmail.com
  3. The following categories of employees are not eligible for participation in CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020:-

a. Uniform personnel in Defence Services/Para Military Organisations/Central Police Organisation/Police/RPF/CISF/BSF/ITBP/NSG etc.
b. Employees of Autonomous bodies/undertaking/Public Sector Banks even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries.
c. Casual/Daily wages workers.
d. Employees attached to offices on temporary duty.
e. A newly recruited employed who has put less than 6 months in regular establishment/services.

  1. Any information regarding change in dates/venue/cancellation etc about the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 will be available on www.dopt.gov.in-notifications-O.M. & Orders-Sports-AICS.
  2. The decision of Technical Committee shall be final and binding on the competing participants.
  3. Participants should have AICF approved Carrom Board, Carrommen Set, Lamp shed, Striker of their own. They also have their own Facebook profile and necessary equipment such as Mobile/Camera and internet connection for live performance.
  4. A cash prize of Rs.5100/- to the winner and Rs.3100/- to the runner in both Men and Women category and Rs.500/- on each white slam shall be given.
  5. No govt servant participating in this event shall claim special casual leave/ increment for this event.

This State Government/U.T./R.S.B. intends to enter a team for the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020. Consequently, I submit that the entry form duly completed. I hereby undertake on behalf of the State Govt./U.T./R.S.B. to abide by the rules and instructions of the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020.

I certify that the players mentioned in this form who will participate in the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 are employees of the State Government/U.T./R.S.B. No member of the team is a casual/daily wage employees. All the players are eligible to participate in the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 as per eligibility criteria laid down by the Board. In case if it is found that any member of the team is not eligible and is included in the team, the team will be automatically disqualified from the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 without any notice.

I also undertake the responsibility to ensure that this State/U.T./R.S.B. team after being entered in the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 will participate in the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 and at any stage would not refuse to participate or withdraw from the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 without prior approval of the Board.

(a) The participants are required produce their Office identity cards during CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020. Therefore they shall carry their Identity Cards with them. Where the system of Identity Card is not in form, the participants can produce their photographs duly authenticated by their offices.
(b) This proforma will be used for all the Tournaments and will be furnished to the to the Board office before the last date of entry of the CCSCSB Online Carrom Challenge 2020 duly signed by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary concerned of the State/UT and by the Secretary or President of Regional Sports Board.

NORMS AND RULES TO BE FOLLOWED BY PARTICIPANTS

1. NAME, DURATION AND SCHEDULE
1.1 NAME OF EVENT CCSCSB ONLINE CARROM CHALLENGE – 2020
1.2 DURATION 10.08.2020 TO 15.08.2020 as per schedule
1.3 LEAGUE STAGE 10.08.2020 TO 13.08.2020 as per schedule
1.4 QUARTER FINALS 14.08.2020 as per schedule
1.5 SEMI FINALS & FINALS 15.08.2020 as per schedule
1.6 SCHEDULE Schedule will be provided/uploaded on 8.8.2020.
1.7 DISPLAY OF DAILY RESULTS 16:00 HRS. INDIA TIME FROM 11.08.2020
1.8 LEAGUE STAGE 10.08.2020 to 13.08.2020. There will be NO Eliminations.
1.9 KNOCK OUT Based on results on the basis of performances from 10.08.2020 to 13.08.2020 a ranking list will be prepared both in Men & Women sections separately.
Top 8 players in both Men & Women sections will qualify for Quarter Finals. Players Ranked 1 will play with Ranked 8, 2 with 7,3 with 6,4 with 5 in the Quarter Finals. The Winner of 1^{st } QF will play with Winner of 4^{th } QF & Winner of 2^{nd } QF will play with Winner of 3^{rd } QF in SEMI – FINALS.
Winner of both Semi Finals will enter into FINAL. Winner and Runner of Finals will be ranked 1 & 2 of the Challenge respectively.
2. LIVE PERFORMANCE
2.1 CAMERA POSITION Camera to be fixed in front of the player in such a position that complete board is visible during live performance.
2.2 ADDITIONAL SET OF CARROMMEN An additional set of CM is required to keep the chance lost indicator in the form of CM of the same colour for which turn is lost on the left or right frame of the Carrom Board. It is suggested to use the opposite side of the frame on which shade is attached.
