Exciting news for government employees! The administration has taken significant steps to address career progression challenges within the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service. In a move designed to combat stagnation, several key decisions have been announced. This includes the creation of 25 new Senior Principal Private Secretary positions and a substantial 625 new Principal Private Secretary roles. Furthermore, 400 Personal Assistant positions are being upgraded to Private Secretary grade, offering enhanced opportunities. To ensure a smooth transition and reward long-serving staff, all resulting vacancies in the Private Secretary grade, along with the newly established Senior Principal Private Secretary and Principal Private Secretary posts, will be filled through promotion based on seniority as a special, one-time initiative. Similarly, all current direct recruitment vacancies in the Personal Assistant grade, as well as those arising from the new senior roles, will also be filled by promotion via seniority, also as a one-time measure. These changes signify a commitment to fostering growth and recognizing dedication within the civil service.
