The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has denied the request for an extension of inter-cadre deputation for Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, an IAS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre, who was serving with the Government of Punjab. The ACC’s decision means that Shri Sandhu’s deputation to Punjab will not be extended beyond its current term, and he has been instructed to return to his parent cadre immediately. The relevant authorities have been directed to relieve the officer accordingly.
