The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval for the empanelment of Shri Rakesh Behari, an IAS officer (UT:77), born on May 29, 1953, for appointment to Secretary-equivalent posts within the Central government. Additionally, the committee has approved his empanelment for positions at the Additional Secretary level. The Cabinet has also approved the empanelment of Shri Vijay Shankar Madan, an IAS officer (UT:81), for appointment to Additional Secretary or equivalent posts in the Centre.

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved the following :
(i) Empanelment of Shri Rakesh Behari, IAS(UT:77)(DOB:29-05-1953) for appointment to Secretary equivalent posts in the Centre. The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has also approved the empanelment of the officer at the Additional Secretary level.
(ii) Empanelment of Shri Vijay Shankar Madan, IAS(UT:81) for appointment to Additional Secretary/equivalent posts in the Centre.
