The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board has issued a circular reminding all Ministries/Departments of the Government of India about the importance of allowing women employees to participate in the Women’s Sports Meet scheduled for January 11th, 2023. This initiative is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and aims to raise awareness about the physical and mental health benefits of sports for women employees. The circular references a previous communication on the same subject dated December 5th, 2022, and addresses the issue of some departments not permitting women’s participation.

Subject :Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – promoting women participation in sports- ” नारी समागम एंव स्पर्धा”
Reference is invited to this Department’s Circular of even number dated 05/12/2022 on the above subject.
- It has come to notice of this Department that some Departments/Ministries are not allowing participation of women employees in the Women’s Sports Meet scheduled to be held on 11^{th } Jan, 2023.
- It is therefore reiterated that the organization of the meet is being done on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The very objective of organizing this meet is to create awareness about benefits of participation in sports activities amongst women employees which ultimately lead to good physical and mental health among other benefits.
- It is therefore requested to all Ministries/Departments of Government of India to allow participation of women employees liberally in the Women’s Sports Meet.
