The competent authority has approved the induction of three IPS officers as Superintendent of Police in the CBI on a deputation basis. This deputation is for an initial tenure of 4 years, in accordance with the IPS Tenure Policy of 2010. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been requested to liaise with the respective State Governments to facilitate the relieving of these officers so they can join the CBI. Necessary orders are to be issued, with copies to this Department and the CBI. The communication is also being copied to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, Director of CBI, Director (Technical) at NIC for website updates, the relevant file, and the Guard File.
