In a significant move, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has greenlit the inter-cadre deputation of Shri Rajiv Singh, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the 1993 batch (TR:93). Currently serving as an Inspector General (IG) with the CRPF, Shri Singh will transition from the Tripura cadre to the Manipur cadre. This deputation is set for a period of three years, commencing from his date of joining his new post. Notably, this decision has been made as a special case in the public interest, involving a relaxation of standard policy guidelines.
