The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the premature repatriation of Shri Nawal Bajaj, IPS, Joint Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to his parent cadre. This decision includes an extended cooling-off period and is subject to the Supreme Court’s leave regarding Coal Block Allocation cases.
