Approval for IPS Officers’ Deputation to CBI

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has approved the induction of two IPS officers, Shri Sai Manohar Aramane and Shri A.Y.V. Krishna, into the CBI on deputation for an initial term of five years, adhering to the IPS Tenure Policy of 2010. The Ministry of Home Affairs is now tasked with coordinating with the respective State Governments for the officers’ immediate release to facilitate their joining the CBI. Necessary orders are to be issued promptly, with both the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) and the CBI to be kept informed. Copies of this directive have been sent to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, the Director of CBI, the Director (Technical) at NIC for website updates, and for official record.

The competent authority has approved induction of the following IPS officers as DIG in CBI on deputation basis for an initial tenure of 5 years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, as per IPS Tenure Policy, 2010:

(i) Shri Sai Manohar Aramane, IPS (MP:1995)
(ii) Shri A.Y.V. Krishna, IPS (AM:1995)

  1. MHA is requested to take up the matter with the concerned State Governments immediately for their relieving in order to enable them to join the CBI on deputation basis. Necessary orders may please be issued accordingly under intimation to this Department and CBI.
