Approval for Inter-Cadre Transfer of IAS Officers

A

In a significant move, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has greenlit the inter-cadre transfer of two distinguished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Shri Ajit Balaji Joshi, from the 2003 batch of the Haryana cadre, and Ms. Gauri Parasher Joshi, from the 2009 batch of the Odisha cadre, will now be serving in the Punjab cadre. This transfer, approved on compassionate marriage grounds, underscores the government’s consideration for personal circumstances while ensuring administrative continuity. Such decisions play a crucial role in the management of personnel within the civil services, facilitating career progression and personal well-being for officers across different states.
