A significant administrative decision has been announced regarding the inter-cadre transfer of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Ms. Alankrita Pandey, a 2016 batch officer originally from the West Bengal cadre, has received approval to transfer to the Bihar cadre. This transfer, which became effective on September 1, 2022, was granted on the grounds of her marriage to Shri Anshul Agarwal, an IAS officer from the same 2016 batch who belongs to the Bihar cadre. The approval also reflects compliance with an order from the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
