In a recent decision from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, a key move has been made within India’s civil services. Shri H.G. Raghvendra Suhasaa, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the 2001 batch, has been approved for an inter-cadre deputation. This will see the officer transitioning from the Rajasthan cadre to the Karnataka cadre for an initial period of three years. The approval was granted on the grounds of personal hardship, demonstrating the system’s capacity to consider individual circumstances while ensuring seamless administrative functioning across states.
