An official order has been issued approving the induction of Shri Akhilesh Kumar Singh, an IPS officer from the 2003 batch, as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This appointment is for a period of five years, commencing from the date he assumes charge of the post.
