The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the curtailment of tenure for Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, as Director, D/o Youth Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme. Additionally, it has approved his lateral shift to the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at the CBI for a combined period of 5 years, effective until December 5, 2026, or until further orders are issued. This decision has been communicated to relevant authorities, including the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Central Vigilance Commissioner.

Approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) is hereby conveyed for:-
(i) Curtailment of tenure of Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS (AGMUT:2008) as Director, D/o Youth Affairs under Central Staffing Scheme;
(ii) Lateral shifting of Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS (AGMUT:2008) as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), CBI for a combined period of 5 years i.e. upto 05.12.2026 from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
