Appointments and extensions for State Advisory Committee Chairpersons

This document series details the appointment and subsequent extensions of the Chairpersons for State Advisory Committees, primarily concerning employees of state governments other than All India Services. Initially, Shri N.B. Lohani (IAS 1963 MP – Retired) was appointed as Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Advisory Committee in January 2001 for a period of 9 months. This term was later extended multiple times, first in September 2001 for another 6 months with a token fee of Re. one per month, and then again in May 2002 until May 31, 2002, maintaining the token fee. Following this, Shri Vijai Shankar Dubey (IAS 1966 JH) was appointed as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, effective August 1, 2002, for a period of 2 months, after his retirement.

ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000, the Central Government is pleased to appoint Shri I.B. Lohani (IAS 1963 MP – Retired), as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions in regard to the State Government employees other than All India Services for a period of 9 months w.e.f. $1^{\text {st }}$ January, 2001 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The terms of appointment of Shri N.B. Lohani are enclosed.

The composition of the State Advisory Committee will be:

State Government, representing the State Government.

Additional Secretary (Pension), Ministry of Personnel,
Public Grievances & Pension, or his nominee not below
the rank of Director to the Govt. of India, representing
the Central Government.

An officer not below the rank of Secretary to the State
Government coordinating the Reorganisation Call in the
State of Madhya Pradesh existing immediately before the
appointed day.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 75 of the Bihar Reorganization Act, 2000, the Central Government is pleased to appoint Shri Vijai Shankar Dubey (IAS 1966 JH), after his retirement effective from the afternoon of 31st July, 2002, as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, to assist the Central Government in discharge of its functions with regard to the State service personnel other than All India Services, for a period of 2 months, w.e.f. 1st August, 2002 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The terms of appointment of Shri Vijai Shankar Dubey are enclosed.
