Appointment of Shri Vishwanath Anand as Chairman of State Advisory Committee

The Central Government has appointed Shri Vishwanath Anand (Retired IAS officer) as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee. This appointment is effective from March 13, 2002, and will continue until June 30, 2002, or until further orders. Shri Anand will serve in an honorary capacity and will be eligible for travelling and daily allowances as per Central Government rules for officers of his rank. He will also be provided with facilities like staff support, telephone, and transport. His role is to assist the Central Government in its functions concerning State Government employees, excluding All India Services. The terms of his engagement are in line with guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training.

ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorgani.i….vi Act, 2000, the Central Government is pleased to appoint Shri Vishwanath Anand (IAS 1965 UP – Retired), as Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions in regard to the State Government employees other than All India Services upto 30th June, 2002 w.e.f. 13th March, 2002 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The terms of appointment of Shri Vishwailiath Anand are enclosed.

  6. Shri Anand shall be eligible for Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance at the rates admissible under the Central Government Rules to the Officers of his rank and status and also the normal facilities of telephone and transport; and
