The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Pravin Madhukar Pawar, IPS, to the position of Joint Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). His tenure will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. The order has been issued to the director, CBI, and copied to other key stakeholders.
