The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Praveen Sinha, IPS, as Special Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The tenure of the appointment will last until his superannuation on April 30, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
