Shri Praveen Sinha, IPS, has been appointed as the Additional Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This appointment takes effect immediately and he will look after the duties of Director CBI, replacing Shri Rishi Kumar Shukla, IPS, until a new Director of CBI is appointed or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The order references the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
