Subject: Select List for the year 2014 for appointment to Grade-I (Under Secretary) of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) – Posting of officers on their inclusion in the Select List regarding
Shri Pratap Singh Dahiya, Section Officer (CSL No. 8884) was recommended by the Union Public Service Commission for inclusion in USSL-2014. However, he could not be included earlier as he could not complete the mandatory level D training on account of health grounds. Approval of the competent authority in this Department has been obtained to exempt the officer from the requirement of completion of mandatory training on account of serious illness.
- On his returning from leave on medical grounds and becoming available for promotion, the officer is included in USSL-2014 and posted on promotion as Under Secretary as under:

- The Officer will be required to join the allocated Ministry by 14.03.2016 and failure to do so may attract punitive action by DoPT. It will also be incumbent upon the Ministry/Department and the officer concerned not to draw salary beyond the stipulated date.
- The promotion is subject to the condition that the Officer is clear from vigilance angle in terms of this Department’s O.M. No.22034/4/2012-Estt.(D) dated 2.11.2012 and other relevant instructions on the subject. Copy of notification for the appointment of the officer in the grade of US should be endorsed to this Department at the earliest for record.
- Other terms and conditions of promotion to the Grade I (Under Secretary) on regular basis will remain the same as contained in this Department’s O.M. No. 5/2/2015-CS.I(U) dated 14.09.2015.
