This notification announces the appointment of Shri K. Gopalakrishna Bhat, a member of the State Civil Service of Kerala, to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). This appointment is made against vacancies for the year 2007, effective immediately and continuing until further orders. Shri Bhat will be allocated to the Kerala Cadre. The appointment is made under the provisions of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, and the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954. NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with sub-regulation (1) of Regulation 9 of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased to appoint Shri K. Gopalakrishna Bhat, a member of the State Civil Service of Kerala to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies for the year 2007 on probation with immediate effect until further orders and to allocate him to the Kerala Cadre, under sub-rule (1) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
