The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Datla Sreenivasa Varma, IPS (MP:1997) as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a term of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until further notice, whichever comes first. The order, dated 19.12.2023, was issued by the Under Secretary to the Government of India and has been circulated to the Director of CBI, Central Vigilance Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs and other relevant officials.
