NOTIFICATION
Consequent upon the decision of the Union Public Service Commission on receipt of a proposal to this effect from the Government of Manipur through their letter dated 31.3.2012 to declare the inclusion of the name of Shri Athem Muivah (ST) (Date of Birth: 17.03.1959) as unconditional at Sr. No. 4 in the Select List of 2010 prepared for appointment to Manipur segment of Joint Manipur-Tripura Cadre of Indian Administrative Service by promotion by the Selection Committee in its meeting held on 22.12.2011 and approved by the Commission and in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Athem Muivah (ST), member of the State Civil Service of Manipur to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for the Select List of 2010 (against the vacancies of 2010) on probation until further orders and to allocate him to the Joint Manipur-Tripura Cadre (Manipur Segment), under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. The appointment will take effect from the date of the issue of this notification.
2. The recommendations of the Selection Committee are subject to the outcome of W/A 494 of 2002 arising out of C.R. No. 201 of 1997 filed in Hon’ble High Court of Guwahati.
