This notification announces the appointment of Shri Arun, a Non-State Civil Service officer from Jharkhand, to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). This appointment is made in accordance with the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Selection) Regulations, 1997, and the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954. Shri Arun has been appointed against vacancies determined by the Government of India for the Select List year 2002. He will be on probation until further orders and has been allocated to the Jharkhand Cadre under the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. The notification is to be published in the Gazette of India, Part I, Section 2.

NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of order of Hon’ble Supreme Court dated 7.12.2010 and 23.2.2011 in C.A. No. 2243/2010 filed by State of Jharkhand and in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(2) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Selection) Regulations, 1997 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Arun, a Non-State Civil Service officer of Jharkhand to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 3 of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for the Select List year 2002, on probation until further orders and to allocate him to the Jharkhand Cadre, under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
