NOTIFICATION

No. 39019/04/2016-Estt (B) (Part): The President is pleased to appoint Prof. David R. Syiemlieh as Chairman, Union Public Service Commission, under clause (1) of Article 316 of Constitution of India, with effect from the afternoon of 3rd April, 2017. In accordance with the provision of Article 316 (2) of the Constitution of India, term of his appointment will be till 21.01.2018 when he attains the age of 65 years.

1. His pay, allowances and other conditions of service will continue to be governed by UPSC (Members) Regulations which were in force on the date of his appointment under Article 316 (1A) i.e. 04.01.2017.
