Subject: Appointment of Principal Staff Officer (PSO) for Select List Year2021 in CSSS in the Pay Level-13 (Rs. 1,23,100 – Rs. 2,15,900) Regarding.
The undersigned is directed to state that the Competent Authority has approved the inclusion of the following officers of CSSS in the grade of Principal Staff Officer (PSO) for Select List Year-2021, prepared in accordance with CSSS Rules & Regulations, 2010, for appointment to the grade of PSO in CSSS in the Pay Level -13 (Rs. 1,23,100 – Rs, 2,15,900):

- The appointment of these officers (except for those who have superannuated/taken voluntary retirement, etc. and are not in service as on the date of issuance of this OM) as PSO on regular basis will be effective from the date of their assumption of charge.
- The Ministries/Departments shall ascertain the vigilance status of the concerned officer before issuing necessary notification. In case of any discrepancies, relating to vigilance clearance of an officer, the same may be brought to the notice of this Department at the earliest.
- The notification for appointment issued by the concerned Ministries/Departments in respect of the aforesaid officers as PSO on regular basis shall be subject to further orders that may be passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the Jarnail Singh batch of cases (Civil Appeal No. 629 of 2022 arising out of SLP (C) No. 30621 of 2011).
- A copy of the notification should invariably be forwarded to this Department for record. If any of the officers included in PSO Select List Year 2021 cannot be appointed to the grade of PSO on regular basis, the same may also be brought to the notice of this Department immediately along with reasons.
