The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Sampat Meena, IPS, as Additional Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The appointment is subject to vacancy availability and will be for a combined tenure of seven years, up to September 21, 2024, or until further orders.
