Subject: – Appointment in the grade of Principal Staff Officer of Central Secretariat Stenographer Service (CSSS) for the Select List Year 2022 (Part.) – reg.
In continuation to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 01.7.2022, approval of the President is hereby conveyed for inclusion of the following officers in the Select List Year of Senior Selection Grade of CSSS i.e. Principal Staff Officer for the year 2022, as given below:

- The other terms and conditions of promotion to the PSO grade on regular basis are same as contained in this Department’s OM of even number dated 01.7.2022.
- It may also be brought out clearly in the Notification/appointment orders that the appointment of the officers shall be subject to the outcome of the following Court cases:
(i) Civil Appeal No. 629 of 2022 (arising out of SLP (C) No. 30621 of 2011) in Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and connected matters (Jarnail Singh batch of cases);
(ii) Any other court cases in a connected matter. - A copy of the promotion order issued in respect of the above officers may invariably be endorsed to this Department for record on the same day at socs2a-dopt@nic.in. If any of the officers included in
PSO Select List Year – 2022 who cannot be appointed to the grade of PSO on regular basis, the same may also be brought to the notice of this Department immediately along with reasons.
5. Promotion of officers may please be updated by the cadre units concerned in the Web Based Cadre Management System.
