Amendment to Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations, 2015

A

New regulations have been introduced to amend the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations of 1958. These amendments, effective upon their publication in the Official Gazette, specifically address the recruitment of personnel from the Intelligence Bureau. This allows for individuals from the Intelligence Bureau to be appointed on deputation to the post of Assistant Director within the Prime Minister’s Office.

New Delhi, the $18^{\text {th }}$ August, 2015
G.S.R…… (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to clause (3) of article 320 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations, 1958, namely:-

  1. (1) These regulations may be called the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Amendment Regulations, 2015.
    (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
  2. In the Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations, 1958, in the Schedule II, after item 8, and the entries relating thereto, the following item and entries shall be inserted, namely :-
    “9. Recruitment of Personnel from Intelligence Bureau on deputation basis for appointment to the post of Assistant Director in the Prime Minister’s office”.
