Exciting news for public service professionals! A recent government directive has brought about significant updates to the pay structure for senior police officials. This crucial revision, effective retrospectively from January 1, 1973, specifically adjusts the pay scale for the Inspector General of Police in Meghalaya. The new scale is set at an impressive Rs. 2500-125/2-2750, a move designed to align with the recommendations put forth by the Third Central Pay Commission. This ensures that the compensation framework for this vital role is current and reflective of the commission’s expert assessment. Rest assured, this retrospective application is carefully designed to benefit officers and will not adversely impact anyone.
