This notification announces amendments to the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964. The new rules, to be known as the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Amendment Rules, 1977, will come into effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette. Specifically, rule 21-A of the 1964 rules is to be omitted. The notification also details the distribution of copies to various government departments and organizations, including the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, Union Public Service Commission, Central Bureau of Investigation, Central Vigilance Commission, Union Territory Administrations, and secretariats of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

S.O……………In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in so far as persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, namely :-
- (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Conduci) Amendment rules, 1977.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. - In the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, rule 21 -A shall be omitted.
