(E) – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Government, after consultation with the State Governments, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the All India Services (Conduct) Amendment Rules, 2011.
   (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in Official Gazette.
2. In the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968, in rule 16,-
   (a) in sub-rule (4), for the letters and figures “Rs.15,000/-“, the words “two months’ basic pay of the member of Service” shall be substituted;
   (b) in Explanation I, in clause (a), for the words “fifteen thousand rupees or one sixth of the total annual emoluments received by the member of the Service from the Government, whichever is less”, the words “two months’ basic pay of the member of Service” siiall be substituted.NOTE: Principal rules published vide notification No. 8/91/62 AIS(III) dated 18.12.68 in the Gazette of India Part I Section 3 of sub-section (i) as G.S.R. No.3, dated 4.1.69 subsequently amended by:
