The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board in collaboration with Government of Gujarat is organizing All India Civil Services Swimming Tournaments 2016-17 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Details of the tournaments are as:

- A copy of the updated rules for All India Civil Services Tournaments indicating eligibility criteria, composition of Team Rules of games etc has already been circulated to all concerned.
- The States/UTs and Regional Sports Boards are requested to send their team to participate in the above All India Civil Services Tournament. The entries may be sent in the prescribed Proforma (copy attached) direct to the contact officer/organizer mentioned at para 9 to reach on or before 10th October, 2016 with a copy endorsed to this Office.
- Please ensure the following while sending the team for All India Civil Services Tournaments for swimming;
- (i) All the entries must be submitted in the prescribed proforma within prescribed time limits and forms should be supported by list of players along with photocopy of their Identity Card authenticated by the authorized officer under his signature & seal.
- (ii) All the participants shall carry individual Identity Card/Identity Slip for verification of eligibility criteria by the Organizing Committee / Representatives of the Board at the venue of the All India Civil Services Tournament. Addresses, Telephone Numbers, E-mail Addresses may be indicated by the participating State/UTs/RSB’s.
- (iii) Managers meeting are likely to be held on the evening of a day before the date of the tournament.

(iv) Every participating team may bring two flags representing their States/UT/Regional Sports Board with them.
- The General Administration Department, Govt. of Gujarat has also informed that a reception center will be opened at Ahmadabad Railway Station. So, players may first contact at reception center for their convenience. Reception officials will bring the teams from Ahmadabad Railway Station to the place of playground by special vehicles. Accommodation facilities will not be provided to the players by the state Government. The officers / participants must book their accommodation nearer to the venue. As you know, the Gujarat state is liquor prohibited State, the consumption of liquor is strictly prohibited.
- It should be ensured that every member of the team report at the venue and participates in the tournament as scheduled. Failure to do so shall be treated as an act of indiscipline. All the participants shall maintain strict discipline on and off the venue of the tournament. Any act of indiscipline/misbehavior/misconduct will attract the provision of CCS (Conduct) Rules since Government Employees are treated ‘ON DUTY’ during All India Civil Services Tournament.

All the participants’ teams are, therefore requested to check from our website/organizers of the tournament about any possible change before starting their journey.
