Sub: All India Civil Services Chess Tournament 2014-15.

The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board in collaboration with Government of Madhya Pradesh, Sports and Youth Welfare Department is organizing All India Civil Services Chess Tournament 2014-15 from 10th November, 2014 to 18th November, 2014 at Marshal Art Hall, T.T. Nagar Stadium, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

  1. A Copy of the rules for All India Civil Services Tournaments indicating eligibility criteria, composition of Team Rules of games etc has already been circulated to all concerned.
  2. Composition of the Teams for the All India Civil Services Chess Tournament will be as under:

  • No of players: Men -06, Manager-01, Total = 07.
  1. The States/UTs and Regional Sports Boards are requested to consider entering their teams for the above All India Civil Services Tournament. The entries may be sent in the prescribed proforma (copy attached) directed to the contact officer/Organizers indicated at paragraph 14 with a copy to the Board’s Office on or before 04.11.2014.

  2. It may please be ensured that the entries are submitted within prescribed time limits failing which organizer will not be responsible for accommodation and transport.

  3. List of players along with photocopy of their Identity Card should be authenticated by the authorized officer under his signature & seal. All the participants shall carry their Identity Cards/Identity Slip for verification of eligibility criteria by the Organizing Committee/Representatives of the Board at the venue of the All India Civil Services Tournaments.

  4. Addresses, Telephone Numbers, E-mail Addresses may be indicated by the participating State/UTs/RSB’s.

  5. Managers meeting are likely to be held on the evening of a day before the date of commencement of the tournament.

  6. Every participating team may bring two flags representing their States/UTs/RSBs with them.

  7. All teams should wear only one color depicting the name of the team and any team exhibiting logo or name of offices/Team other than given in the entry form will be disqualified.

  1. It should be ensured that every member of the team reports at the venue and participates in the tournament as scheduled. Failure to do so shall be treated as an act of indiscipline. All the participants shall maintain strict discipline on and off the venue of the tournament. Any act of indiscipline/misbehavior/misconduct will attract the provision of CCS (Conduct) Rules since Government Employees are treated “ON DUTY” during All India Civil Services Tournament.
  2. The information about rules and regulation, entry form, change in dates/venue/cancellation etc about the AICS Tournament is available on our website (www.persmin.nic.in). All the participant teams are, therefore, requested to check from our website/organizers of the tournament about any possible change before starting their journey.
  3. Referee’s decision shall be final and binding on the competing teams.
