This office memorandum announces the declaration of Saturday, April 14th, 1990, as a closed holiday for all Central Government offices, including industrial establishments, in observance of the 99th birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The decision was made following numerous requests and applies to all Ministries, Departments, and attached offices. The memorandum directs all Ministries/Departments to disseminate this information to all concerned parties, and also includes a list of specific organizations and individuals to whom the notification is addressed. Sub: Holiday on 14th April, 1990 – 99th birthday of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar.
A number of requests have been received for declaring a holiday on 14th April, 1990, the birthday of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar. The matter has been considered and it has been decided to declare Saturday 14th April, 1990 as a closed holiday for all Central Government offices including industrial establishments.
