All India Online Music and Dance Competition-2021 for Wards of Central Government Civilian Employees

The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board is organizing an online Music & Dance competition for the wards of Civilian Central Government Employees, held on Facebook from November 19-21, 2021. The competition celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and aims to enhance cultural interaction. It includes categories for Instrumental, Hindustani & Carnatic Vocal, and Dances (Classical, Western, and Folk) with specific age groups and time limits for performances. Certain employee categories are ineligible to participate, and the judges’ decisions are final. Participants must submit an entry form by November 10th, 2021, and parents need to join a Facebook group for live participation. I INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
HINDUSTANI (CLASSICAL & LIGHT CLASSICAL)
Sitar, Sarod, Veena, Violin, Esraj, Sarangi, Tar, Shehnai, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Flute, Clarionet, Mouth Organ, Tabla, Pakhawaj, Mardangam, Naal, Dholak, Jairang, Kshtrang, Santoor, Sund. Classical Max – 05 Mins
Taal Peti, Shruti Box or any Mobile app may be used for support. Light Classical Max – 03 Mins
WESTERN
Any Western Instrument. Track may be used for support 02 – 03 Mins
II HINDUSTANI VOCAL
Classical. Alap & Bandish in Chhota Khyal Max – 05 Mins
Light Classical. Thumri / Dadra / Tappa / Rag Parvesh / Gazals / Bhajan / Sugam Sangeet Sung in light Classical form. (Non Bollywood) 02 – 03 Mins
III KARNATIC VOCAL
Classical. Any Kriti of a well known South Composer in Any South Indian Language Max – 05 Mins
Light Classical. Javeli/Tillana/Devaraman Tarangam or any other light classical composition of any South Indian Language. Raga Alapa is not to be rendered in this item. 02 – 03 Mins

IV FOLK SONG

(a) Folk song must be representing a culture of a particular state. 02-03 Mins
(b) Medley of songs is not allowed.
(c) Filmi Songs (Bollywood) not allowed

Note :
(a) Hindustani & Carnatic Vocal Categories will be merged in one category if sufficient entries are not received in carnatic vocal.
(b) Sur Peti or Taal Peti may also be used in the competition.
(c) Songs on Track are not allowed in vocal but may be considered in instrumental category.
(d) Medley of songs is not allowed in both singing or dance.
(e) Filmi Song (bollywood) is not allowed in vocal category but may be considered in instrumental category.

DANCES

CLASSICAL DANCE

  • Kathak / Mohiniattam / Bharat Natyam / Manipuri / Kuchipudi / 03-05 Mins Odissi / Kathakali etc.

FOLK DANCE

  • Folk dance must be representing a culture of a particular 02-03 Mins state. Medley of songs is not allowed

WESTERN DANCE

  • Medley of Songs (group of songs) is strictly not allowed. 02-03 Mins
  • Bollywood song may be played with western beats only.
  • Provocative dance steps, indecency in dress & ambiguous lyrics are strictly prohibited.

  1. On the occasion of 75 years of independence of India, Government of India is celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The objective of the Mahotsav is to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different States and union Territories by conducting activities in the field of language and culture.

  2. Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board is organising the CCSCSB online Music & Dance competition 2021 for wards of Civilian Central Government Employees. The event shall be held online on Facebook Group – “All India Civil Services Music, Dance & Short Play Fraternity” from 19 – 21 November 2021. Parents of the participants are required to join the group for live participation. Parents of the wards must have their own facebook profile and necessary equipment such as Mobile/Camera and internet connection for live performance. Details of the event are as under:

Note: (i) Participant is allowed in two events only.

(ii) *If sufficient entries in Carnatic vocal are not received, Hindustani & Carnatic Vocal Category will be merged.

  1. The entry for the competition should be sent in the prescribed entry form latest by 10^{th } November, 2021 through email at ccscsbcultural@gmail.com only. Proforma of the entry form is attached. No entry by physical mode (by hand or by post) will be accepted.
  2. The Wards of the following categories of employees are not eligible for participation in competition: –
    (a) Uniform personnel in Defence Services/ Para Military Organisations/Central Police Organisation/Police/RPF/CISF/BSF/ITBP/NSG etc.
    (b) Employees of Autonomous bodies/undertaking/Public Sector Banks even though administratively controlled by Central Ministries.
    (c) Casual /Daily Wages Workers.
    (d) Employees attached to offices on temporary duty.
    (e) A newly recruited employee who has put less than 6 months in regular establishment/services.
  3. Decision of the judges shall be final and no appeal against their decision shall be entertained.
  4. All the participants shall be given digital participation certificate. Besides this Winners ( 1^{st }, 2^{nd } & 3 \mathrm{rd} ) will also be given Winner’s Certificate.
  5. After the last date of receipts of entry, a whatsapp group shall be created for coordination with the participants.
  6. Any information regarding change in dates/venue/cancellation etc about the competition will be available on www.dopt.gov.in-Notification-O.M. and Orders-Sports-Misc.
