Sub: INTER-MINISTRY BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2020-21
Inter-Ministry Badminton Tournament 2020-21 will be held from 01st March to 12th March, 2021 except Saturday & Sunday i.e. 06.03.2021 & 07.03.2021 at AIIMS GYMKHANA, New Delhi. The last date of entry is 19th February, 2021 (Friday).
- The entry should be sent in the enclosed prescribed form duly signed by the Welfare Officer of the Ministry concerned to the office of the CCSCSB, Room No.361, 3rd Floor, Lok Nayak Bhavan, Khan Market, New Delhi. No entries will be accepted after the due date i.e. 19.02.2021. Tournament will start with Men & Women Team Championship events and their draws will be displayed at the venue (AIIMS Gymkhana) on 26.02.2021 (Friday) after 2 PM.
- The competition will be held in the following fourteen events with restriction of entries from each Ministries/Departments. One Player can participate in maximum 03 events only except Team Championship event:

- Entry Fee for the Team Championship is Rs. 300/-, Rs. 75/- for Singles and Rs. 150/- for Doubles Events, which may be deposited in Board’s Account through online/NEFT mode only. - The Men Singles & Doubles (Qualifying) events will be open to new players/beginners only. The players who have represented the State or Central Secretariat Team in the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament or have already qualified the Qualifying Event in the previous years need not participate in the qualifying events of the tournament. Players reaching up to Quarter Finals in the Men Singles & Doubles (Qualifying Events) will get automatic entry in the main event of Open Men Singles/Doubles. Matches for Third Place for all the above mentioned events (except Qualifying Event) will be held between the losers of Semi Finalist.
- All the players should reach the venue for their matches well in time as mentioned in the Draw/Time Schedule displayed at the venue, otherwise walkover rule will strictly apply against him/her and no further request will be entertained in this regards. Time scheduled of the above events will also be available at the website of our Ministry i.e. (https://dopt.gov.in/about-us/wings-or-division-in-dopt/welfare-divisions) from 22.02.2021. Winners & Runners-up of
both Men & Women Team Championship Events will also be awarded cash price of Rs. 10,000/- \&Rs. 7000/respectively.
8. The eligibility/non-eligibility conditions for participation in the Inter-Ministry Tournament have already been circulated to all the Ministries. Employees working in Corporation, Public Sector, Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Banks/Undertakings (Like FCA, DTC, LIC, ESIC, CBSE etc.) will not be eligible to participate in the Inter-Ministry/AICS Tournament, even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries.
9. Preventive measures to be taken to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)Protocol/Guidelines/Instructions to contain the spread of disease in the tournament:
i) All the Players/Officials are required to be submitted their COVID-19 (RT-PCR) Negative Report conducted before 72 hours at the entrance of AIIMS Gymkhana prior to start of their matches. Always carry a copy of their Covid-19 negative report. Before start of the match, respective players must show their Covid-19 negative report to match umpire. Failing which walkover will be given against the faulty player/s.
ii) A SCREENING CHECK LIST for COVID-19(Annexure) is mandatory to fill up each time whenever visits the venue during all days of the tournament at the entrance of AIIMS Gymkhana.
iii) Non-contact Thermal Screening of all Players/Officials at the entrance of AIIMS Gymkhana.
iv) While coming at the venue, all the Players/Officials may ensure and implement the instructions strictly as issued by the MHA time to time Vide O.M./Orders Nos.40-3/2020-DM-I(A), dated 15.04.2020, 01.05.2020, 17.05.2020, 29.06.2020, 30.09.2020, 25.11.2020, 28.12.2020, 27.01.2021/DoPT O.M. No. 11013/9/2014- Estt.A.III, dated 18.05.2020 and M/o YA\&S Circular(SOP), dated 26.12.2020 \& 29.01.2021 respectively i.e. social distancing, wearing face cover/mask, time to time hand sanitization, strict ban of gutka/Tobacco etc. and spitting should be strictly prohibited, stagger the lunch break of staff, to ensure social distancing etc.
v) Only those Players are permissible in the playing hall whose events are in progress. The next lot of players and officials should wait outside the venue and shall enter the Playing hall once the players from previous event will leave the playing hall.
vi) Personal equipment such as Badminton Racquet, Kit Bag, towel, wrist band, head band, shoes etc. shall be used without sharing.
vii) While not in playing hall, wash your hands with soap even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol based hand sanitizers can be made wherever feasible.
viii) Face cover/mask have to be worn at all times at inside or outside the venue except playing match at the Badminton Court. Use covered dustbins to manage used masks and waste materials.
ix) Distance of 6 feet shall be maintained while sitting or walking inside or outside the venue.
x) Aarogya Setu App must be installed in the phones of all participants/officials. Entry will be allowed in the venue only if the status is found to be “Safe”.
xi) If any Player/Official or his/her family member/relative is suspected/tested for COVID-19 to whom the Player/Official has been sharing common living space or has been in contact, then it is expected of the concerned Player/Official to inform the Convenor/Covid Task Force at venue/office immediately and refrain from attending the tournament/office to prevent risk of exposing others in the tournament/office as has been specified in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by M/o H\&FW on 04.06.2020.
xii) Strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly. Spitting will be strictly prohibited.
xiii) A Covid Task Force shall be constituted to ensure preventive measures to be taken against Covid-19. All the players/officials are requested to cooperate with the Covid Task Force.
xiv) If it is found that above mentioned protocol/Guidelines is not followed by any player/official in the tournament including inside or outside venue premises, he/she shall be liable to scratched from the tournament.
xv) All the Players/Officials are directed to follow these instructions without fail. Cooperation of all Players/Officials is crucial to contain the spread of infection.

VERIFICATION
This office intends to enter a team for the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition. Consequently, I submit the entry form duly completed. I hereby undertake on behalf of the Ministry/Department to abide by the rules and instruction of the Tournament/Competition.
I certify that the players mentioned in this form who will play in the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition are employees of the Ministry. No member of the team is a casual/daily wage employee. All the players are eligible to participate in the Tournament/Competition as per eligibility criteria laid down by the Board. In case if it is found that any member of the team is not eligible and is included in the team, the team will be automatically disqualified from the Tournament/Competition without any notice to this Ministry.
