The Government of India is launching the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India’ campaign from September 15th to October 2nd, 2023. As part of this initiative, all ministries and departments are requested to organize a special cleanliness drive in their Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens between September 25th and 30th. The Office of the Director (CEC) is the nodal agency for this, and all departments must adhere to provided guidelines, upload before-and-after photos to the Swachh Bharat Mission website, and submit a report by October 6th, 2023. This directive is being circulated to all relevant government bodies, including secretariats and administrative offices.

Subject: – Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India Campaign Special Cleanliness Drive in the Non- Statutory departmental Canteens – regarding.
The undersigned is directed to refer to aforementioned subject and to say that Government of India is celebrating “Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India” Campaign from 15.09.2023 to 02.10.2023.
- The Office of the Director (CEC) is the nodal agency for laying down policies/ guidelines/ instructions on various aspects of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens and its employees. The Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens functioning under administrative control of respective ministries/ departments are to organize a special cleanliness drive between 25^{th } and 30^{th } September, 2023.
- All Ministries/Departments are requested to adhere to the guidelines/ instructions as mentioned and upload photos before and after the cleanliness drive on (https://swachhbharatmission.gov.in/shs2023/). A report may be furnished to this Department on nsd.cec-dopt@gov.in by 6^{th } October, 2023.
