The Department of Personnel and Training has revised the grant-in-aid provided to recognized Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs). Previously capped at Rs. 4,500 per annum, the grant has been increased to Rs. 10,000. The new grant amount will be linked to the number of members within each employee group – Group ‘C’ employees will receive twice the amount of subscription collected from regular members, while Groups ‘A’ and ‘B’ will receive a matching grant, also capped at Rs. 10,000. This revision is effective from the financial year 2013-2014, with all other existing terms and conditions remaining unchanged. The decision was made with the concurrence of AS&FA(H) on 01/02/2013.
