Subject: Assurance given in respect of part (c) of Rajya Sabha Unstarred Question No.463 for 23-2-2006 regarding IAS officers from SC/ST/OBC officers in various services and posts in the Central Secretariat – asked by Shri Karnendu Bhattacharjee and Shri Manoj Bhattacharya.

The undersigned is directed to forward herewith a copy of the above noted Rajya Sabha Unstarred Question No.463 for 23.2.2006 and to say that all the Cadre Controlling Authorities of the Central Secretariat Stenographic Service and Central Secretariat Clerical Service are requested to furnish information as required vide part (c) of the said question latest by 05.12.2008 in respect of their cadre in the format given below, so that parliament assurance could be fulfilled.
