Subject: Writ Petition (Civil) No.2735/2013 filed by Shri Sauranshu Sinha & Others vs. Union of India and Others in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi- regarding

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department OM of even number dated 08.10.2013 and subsequent reminders dated 27.11.13, 13.12.2013, 23.12.2013, 26.02.2014 and 18.03.2014 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the requisite information in respect of service of notice is still awaited from the Ministries/Departments/Organizations concerned in respect of 17 private respondents (as per list attached).

  1. The Ministries/Departments/ Organizations concerned are once again requested to serve notice to these respondents and forward the requisite information to this Department immediately but not later than 12.05.14. The Hon’ble High Court has viewed the matter of non-service of notice, even after a considerable time, very seriously and has directed through its order dated 15.04.2014 that notice be served upon the unserved respondents within two weeks. An affidavit of service is to be filed before the Hon’ble High Court in this regard, prior to the next date of hearing i.e. 26.05.2014.
  2. This may be treated as Most Urgent.
