Continuation of Ad-hoc Appointments: LDC to UDC Promotion in CSCS

This office memorandum details the extension of ad-hoc appointments for individuals promoted from Lower Division Clerk (LDC) to Upper Division Clerk (UDC) within the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS). Due to delays in regular recruitment, the ad-hoc period is extended by six months, up to February 29, 2008, or until regular UDCs become available. Existing terms and conditions of previous appointments remain in effect. The memorandum is addressed to all Cadre Authorities of CSCS and includes instructions for website publication.

Office Memorandum

Subject: Promotion of LDC as UDC of Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) on ad-hoc basis- Continuance of Ad-hoc appointments-regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 28.2.2007 whereby cadres were permitted to continue the ad-hoc appointment in the UD Grade of CSCS for a further period of six months up to 31.8.2007 and to say that the continuation of the ad-hoc appointments in the U.D grade has been reviewed in this Department. Since availability of regular UDCs through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under the CSCS Rules may take some more time, it has been decided that the period of ad-hoc appointment made in the UD Grade of CSCS may be extended for a period of six months up to 29.2.2008 or till regular UDCs become available, whichever is earlier.

  1. Other terms and conditions mentioned in this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 28.2.2005 will remain unchanged.
