Continuance of Ad-hoc Appointment in the Grade of Assistants of CSS

C

This office memorandum details the extension of ad-hoc appointments for Under Clerks (UDCs) promoted to the grade of Assistants within the Central Secretariat Service (CSS). Initially permitted up to December 31, 2007, the period of these ad-hoc appointments is extended by six months, until June 30, 2008, or until regular Assistants are available, whichever comes first. The extension is contingent on the availability of regular recruits and excludes those ad-hoc Assistants who have been nominated for ‘A’ level training but haven’t completed it successfully. Existing terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Subject: – Continuance of ad-hoc appointment in the grade of Assistants of CSS – reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department OM of even number dated 28.06.2007 on the subject mentioned above, vide which Cadres were permitted to continue the ad-hoc appointment of those UDCs, who belong to the Select List Years from 1987 to 1993 (General & SC candidates) and eligible UDCs belonging to ST category of Select List Years upto 1999, recommended for promotion to the Grade of Assistant of CSS, on ad-hoc basis, by this Department from time to time, for the period upto 31.12.2007.
